Map Types

Are there going to be any of the old school maps? By old school i mean like King of the Hill, Nomad, Team Islands, ect. You know, the maps from the good old days of Age of Empires that just kind of disappeared. It would be really cool if they are in.

With a map editor, you would definitely be able to create these sorts of maps for yourself, and certainly there will be others who make such designs.

So? Play the maps you're interested in, and don't play the maps you aren't interested in. That's the beauty of it all.

If you make the terrian on your map right you can make a seige map!

I'm sure someone will do that; in fact, I'm certain we'll see much of the same variety as you do in Warcraft III; tower defense, aeon of strife, mini-games, and all kinds of other great stuff.

I never played AOE but I like island maps and king of the hill. Map editor should produce some really cool maps. I'm looking forward to what smaps will be made.
