Default Is Stronghold 3 Better Now?

I loved First one as a kid, but I can't stand the graphics anymore, After getting sucked into DOF unlike any other game, i'm craving more and more medieval real time strategy games or anything close just to keep everything fresh each day, I still put in a minimum 6-8hrs a day on DOF if not more. But I still love playing other games every now and then.

I'v seen Their has been a lot of new patches and consolation pvp mode added. As well as many fixes.
Is the Pvp fun , is their any co op? Does anyone play it here at all?
Is it Worth 30$ now? If so why?
I also heard they are making Stronghold Crusader 2, which may rectify all the issues with all the great features planned:
Skirmish Mode 8 players
Scenario Editor
AI Castle Editor
New Wall System
Economic Systems
and much more

Let me know!!
Thank You

I play often Stronghold Kindgoms which is free mmo, but due to research ingame and building houses you can spend about 30 minutes in game but later on as you build more towns, conquer them or buy them you spend more time ingame.
Its a good game. Besides DoF I play stornghold kingdoms and those 2 games are enough in coming months or in years depending on which game when comes out will stick me into it.
DoF is a very addicting game and reminds me of old amiga days when played as a kid.
