I think it's awesome! If dragons are to be in the game they need to be something special instead of gimped down to the level of other lowly races (or really lowly races like humans). Anyways it's been a while since i tromped these grounds so im looking at all the new suff...so much stuff :P

Personally, I think it was a good way to implement them without scrapping the whole idea for a future release as well as a good decision strategically. I just hope the cost of them is worked out correctly and that they're as effective as they sound.

Dragons are ancient, intelligent creatures, and they like eating people, win win for everyone. I just hope when they add dragons as a playable race its draconians not actual dragons which would ruin the total utter awesomeness and power that dragons posses.

Dragon merc has been know about for a long time now. I mean sure it wasn't confirmed but the devs talked about it a lot. Also if you can use dragons as mercs how will things change when a dragon faction is implemented?

Almost going on a side note, was such a shame when they canned the Dragons, really looked forward to them.

Each and every fantasy RTS has some sort of Elf playable, but noone has had Dragons as race/Nation.. :}

Ontopic, but yepp, hope the Merc is balanced ok and that we get to see them too..

Draconians are in several games. It'd be nice if the dragons mercs are more of a central market thing where they randomly show up from time to time and players have to actually bid on them, that way their cost:strength ratio will always be balanced based on the times. I think it's great that they're not downplaying dragons as a "normal race" personally.

Would dragons even need ships when they can fly? Besides dragons+wood just doesn't seem like a smart combination :P. Maybe platforms to perch themselves on in the sea to protect from land attacks before advancing heheh.
