No, as far as I'm aware they're not going for that at all. Heroes aren't going to be OP. They can't hold their own against outnumbering foes, and some are only useful for support spells and leadership. They're only mortal, after all.

The hero will be tougher than normal units, but not be out of control. A fully(or highly) leveled hero will be able to kill roughly 200 normal un-upgraded level one units. This seems fine to me because in this game there are going to be 1000s of units.

Nice to get some numbers. Yeah sounds fair to me. With stats like that i might just send a hero in to delay the enemy while i rally my troops. Should make the battle system more dynamic also

You do realize that Darathor just made those stats up, right? It could be, and probably will be, different ingame.

I did not! Those were spoken by one of the Reverie guys concerning heroes. (Still might change a bit)

Ah right, but they're not official numbers. The bold part suggests that the hero is not used on its own, but when properly supported and used effectively. You might not even make half that.

hmmm, is it possible for units to walk through eachother for reaching a goal? if not then by having a op hero in a small entrence would be enough to hold the enemy back for quite some time, allowing your army to regroup and mayby call reinforcements. Because as they say in tight areas its not the quantity its the quality. but i guess there will be few areas like that...
