So if this does happen lvled up pimped out sorcs could be potentially devastating, as well as potentially crushed under the heels and hooves of my orcish brethren, which is totally awesome.
Reminds me so very much of a mod for company of heroes called europe in ruins. The game involved levels for your units, 3 and basic units. Basically if you kept your army alive in games, they'd be there for the next game and be that much stronger. But if they died, they were dead. Added a lot of depth, do you want to risk losing a veteran unit in order to give your side a better chance at winning that fight, or recall it off the field to fight again another day.

I love persistent leveling units. I really hope there is some system for protecting your leveled up units (And that if they die in one game, they're gone, otherwise it's meh) If you know you're going to lose you can retreat that unit out of the particular game sort of thing like the mod I mentioned works.

I don't see why they wouldn't implement that into the campaign of MMO mode of the game.

I agree with that, single player campain you could get away with that but online you would become to powerful to quickly. would create to little a gap between amking a good player and one who just saves his troops doing hit and runs all day lol

Hmm maybe, im not sure guess we will have to wait for word from the developers. I think there will be a number of diffrent leveling systems in this game though. Through armour leveling and equip to the magic spell based leveling with them talkingabout rewardds for players who invest heavily on training there spell casters.

I hope this unit leveling doesn't get too much out of hand (An invincible unit the size of a human pawning 50 normal units).

It is. I'm still curious if death reduces/removes the exp of a unit, and if so are there ways to protect them in case of an inevitable defeat. If you know you're going to lose can you still keep those units, or will your armies power only last as long as your current winning streak.

I think thats the case with any game. There has to be a hero and it is pointless to have a hero that cant take a beating. Otherwise you would never do anything with him.

This could be aplied to a mage who we know can produce spells that can defeat entire armies :P

Therefore it could be 2/3 mages powning 700-1000 units lol :P
