Cannot get past loading screen

Hello, I recently received this game via Desura during the giveaway, but have yet to play this game for even a moment. Here is what I encounter

When I attempt to start the game, I get past the updater, but am constantly faced with a frozen loading screen as soon as the game gets past the Reverie World credit scene. I've tried the suggestions in the technical support thread http://www.reverieworld.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=4289 But none of them have worked thus far. Please help

Try turning your Firewall off and/or Router firewall off and/or Opening all Ports, just throwing my two cents in, i had a simular problem a very long time ago

I don't think it's the firewall. It's not an issue of connectivity, it's an issue with responsiveness. The game just stops working when I get to that point
