Ok... I was wondering... Define DoF's MMORTS...

1. How many players per game...
2. How long is it...
3. Is it real-time (as in do players get attacked if they are offline)...

In non-MMO online mode, there can be six players per game, though Reverie is trying to bump this number up to eight. While it is real-time, your city can not be attacked while you're offline. You just sort of disappear from the game until you sign in again.

What do you mean by how long is it?

Q. How long does an average online (MMORTS) quest take? Is there a feature to pause it and continue it on a later?
A. It depends on the quest, some quests range from simple tasks of building the starting essentials of a village to taking your army and traveling lordship or place to accomplish the quest elsewhere away from your homeland. There will always be an appropriate time to save your progress; although we are unclear at this time if we will implement a saving feature for far away quests.

Q. How long does an average online (MMORTS) Online Player Vs Player game take?
A. It depends mostly on the factions and player’s tactics in the war, but an average game should not be substantially longer then any other realistic RTS; I doubt you will see 2 minute games like you do in games such as C&C3.

The MMORTS will be constant? do you mean the length of each battle? No you cannot be attacked if you are offline or people would just wait for others to sign off then attack them

I am not concerned with the non-MMO online mode...

I am talking about the MMORTS... Will it be hundreds of players playing on a single world?

And what do you mean by MMORTS quests? Won't it just be like a sandbox game?

no there are actually quests and NPC cities.

1 - i agree

2 - if i remember rightly... yes however you will not see everyone, just people in regions near you as to put all regions in would be very intensive....

3 - and yes it is sandbox but you have the opportunity to take quests to gain extra resources and perhaps soldiers and definitely heros... taking quests is not necessary but it is advisable, progress without them will be slow

Blech... This game seems to be a realtime game based off of some game I can't think of the name... You buy boosters instead of subscribing or something... Anyone remember what it's called?

I'm not sure what you are referring to? We don't charge fees past the initial cost of the game. Expansions or downloadable content will cost extra, but that is like any other game.

i hope not becose theat game suks and has one of the worst look i have ever sawn and it absolutly dosnt look like DOF

Yea, that's the game...

And I doubt anyone would care if this game looked like saga, just not play like it...
