Out of Sync

Greeting, I'm a long time player of Dawn of Fantasy, but i went away for awhile due to at the time the rampaging OoS issue which was going, alongside with my studies taking its toll.

I've currently been trying to get back into the game, but i still have a 95% OoS issue, it seems like i never do pvp properly, aside from the extremely rare occasion ( i presume it isn't that people are pulling their plugs).


I'm not behind any firewalls, and my internet is 10mbit download and 5mbit upload.

computer's running windows 7, the spec's is pretty new and shouldn't pose any issue.
am directly plugged into the modem, and bypassing my wireless router when i've tried to play DoW.

i cant really think of any reason why i cant preform pvp with others, as i dont have this issue with other games, i commonly host games on CK II (crusader kings II, paradox game) so i know I'm visible for other clients. although only thing i haven't tried is opening ports.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

thats the problem.

when i was on wi-fi and play darkfall i was unable even to stay online wi-fi seams good at ping or connection if you navigate download or watch a stream but in truth have a loss of packet loss that give big problems to online gaming


make your connection thrue a cable and you will not have anymore any issue

I play from college and i mostly use a modem/stick usb for internet as most ports are closed and i can't pvp with others,i tried and either i get stuck in loading screen or i get error message 'could not connect to other player'.

I am bypassing the router with a cable, so that's not my issue,

I've also received several "cannot connect to the other player" messages at times, but mostly OoS

Hey White,

I got this problem too in the past. It seesm that it is caused due to loading times. Im not sure how high is your graphics settings neither your specs, but I have a pretty good video gard (not the highest but it is good) and when I decreased some settigns it stopped to happen (grass of/ water shader low or medium).

Im not sure if that will work for you but you should try if you havent tried already.

Ill try that, although my loading times tends to be rather short.

with my specs being (I've slated information i think is unnecessary).
but I'll definitely try to lower my settings and see if it has any effect.
