Default Proposal for heavy infantry variants

Greeting to all Lords, Malee, Mada of Mythador. I come to this forum bearing proposal to add new kinds of heavy infantry.

Many times I have been in battle commanding my armies to glory, watching my men marches off to face foes both trivial and mighty. Enough talks of great feat but aye, in all of the battle I've been in I noticed the lack of varieties of heavy infantry. In Teria we have knights, In N'hoboru Elves have grand master, In Gokholm Orcs have berserker. To see that each race have only one type of heavy infantry makes me feel... strange for lack of suitable words I can think of.

Thus I propose that there be a heavy infantry variants of the existing light infantry we have. For swordsman we already have knights, halberdier -- Heavily armored pikeman, maceman -- menacing hulking shock trooper bristling with spikes. T'is strange that I cannot upload the picture now when before I can for uploading logs, there be problems? I seek to post these drawing I have regarding these heavy infantry but I cannot upload it here for some reason. (Says here you may not post attachment.)

I know not what kind of heavy infantry will there be for other races, your thoughts?

Special elite-ish heavy infrantry troops that cost Wealth (Crowns in my time) would be nice.

Something like Myrmidons for humans, Pit Champions for orcs and Silver Blades for elves would fit in my opinion. These guys being hero style: limited to 1-4 squads per player which lose levels when being utterly annihilated.

Myrmidons you say, like AoM myrmidons?

Also, I believe Knights are not the havier version of a sowrdmans, as I'm pretty sure my swordmans have better stats than my knihts, I really only use knights to heal my other units...

nonetheless, more units would be nice to see more variety of units on pvp\co-op

Myrmidons were greek figthers specialized in melee that you can assume actually existed (since they are mentioned in several greek poems and texts). They aren't just a thing from games. Multiple organizations through history have copied their name because of their legendary background. Myrmidon means ant.

While it is a good idea y'all have put in, I find turning these unit into... immortal... not as good idea. Heavy infantry should be treated just like the rest of the unit, even Minotaur and dwarven infantry that cost crown can't live forever. :P Unless you are talking about adding new heroes though, that can be accepted.

Mhh... swordsman and knights feels quite comparable to each other with their swords, shield and how they fills in similar role. Except that swordsman uses shield wall ability while knights can heal themselves or pray to heal everyone around them.
