More often than not, multiplayer is excluded until the retail version.
It would be difficult for them to do so considering they are advertising it as an MMO... kinda means that is the main aspect of the game and therefore needs testing...

My experience with beta's is that singleplayer is usually excluded until retail, and only multiplayer is available.

Every beta I've ever followed has been this way. Maybe it's because of the kind of games I follow (things like Warcraft and Supreme Commander), but my experience is the opposite of your's.

I'm personally wondering whether we'll get to see the map editor in the beta. If it is available in the beta, we'll have plenty of custom content available on retail release, that's for sure!

That would be a huge plus for any on the edge buyers who do not want to wait for extra content. I know the game itself is more than enough but some people are like that.

People don't make singleplayer betas... But maybe we'll get single player with the multiplayer, who knows.

Done. It was at very least off topic.

Back on topic, I wonder how multiplayer would work on MMO as far as if we would get to use the MMO portion or if it will just be standard matches. Personally, I'm thinking the latter.

Hoping for the first but the latter is the most likely...
