Hello, I've done more research on this - and it's either one of these problems.

1) you need to upgrade your direct x
2) you need to upgrade Microsoft .net framework
3) your house uses a special program accelerator that you will need to disable in the control panel/mouse options
4) you can try using another mouse - thatmight actually help

If Kon's idea doesnt work,I;d start with disabling the "pc-tuner" and the three programs without names...........cuz thats really not normal m8

So a different mouse didn't do a thing. The cursor is still stuck on the river just a little sw of the bridge. Dang it this sucks! I haven't even got to play it yet.

DirectX was just updated, My framework is up to date, my mouse has no accelerator, the other mouse didn't work either.

The mouse cursor is stuck, but I have an invisible mouse.

Basically the picture of the mouse stays in one place but if I move the mouse around I can see it highlighting the menu buttons. Without the cursor moving from its location in the bottom left courner of the screen.

try run it in compatibility mode

I tried compatibility mode and it didn't work. Tried changing the resolution lower and that didn't work. Smashed my head against the wall when I set my icons to medium instead of large and it worked. Just before I got this game I got a 22" monitor, I set the icon and print size to large. Got this game and it didn't work, well now don't I feel like an idiot. Thanks for your help and I hope my mistake will help someone else.
