Online Army Issues

When heading into RTS mode in online world, only a portion of y full army arrives in battle. When I exit back out, they reappear in the world map with my army again. Please help. Also, how do I prevent stealing from occuring? BTW, loving the game so far, hoping the minor glitches continue to disappear.
