Dont get this wrong

The Bonus for being on the Wall should Replace Formation Bonus

Means you will only get what the Building has to Offer and lose all Bonusses from your Formation.
if you dislike the Defending Unit having higher Bonus than the Attacking just adjust the Values so that the Building is actually offering less or the same amount of Bonus that an Formation would offer

As for Lag
If Lagspikes are a problem how about fusing Units with the Building?

Just determine the Positions without Units needing to find it.
And after that count the Unit as an own Building

as an Own Building it will be a semi permanent Unit which is unable to move and thus will not be countet into the regular pathfinding processing.

Much like an Wall Mounted Trebuchet
by doing that you would actually lessen the lag by stationing troops on a wall

Well nothing will be eaten as hot as it was cooked
we will see what you guys are doing in that regard after that we can still suggest an improvement -.^

In the Shadow of the Black Cross. We Fullfill our Duty in your Name.
And Look forward to the Day we Return to your side Silvanos.
Watching over our Comrades as they Fullfill their Duty in your Name.

Perhaps even units just automatically find their place on the walls if they are a battalion. although it may not be a instantaneous thing it will take a few mins before they fully align. If we are to do it it must be lagless and not add more lagspikes into the game. Such as a town hall war bell or building walls; and it will be after any sort of pathfinding update and melee combat AI update as well as unit tasking update.

Now as to reply your post

The defender already has a major bonus which is defending, walls always give a massive bonus, so i completely disagree with all bonuses except i like the idea of removing formation bonus. Attacking walls in real life in midevil times normal requires 3 times asmany soldiers than to defend. The same issue can apply here, we got bottle necks at gatehouses and stairwell aswell as boiling oil and other stronghold upgrades, archers' range already does increase with height so archers on a tower do already shoot further, the attacker is going to have some major problems if he is equal in forces as the defenders.
Why do you think Kon beats GPS so much? Cus he forces GPS to siege him! hahah.

I love this idea. Maybe you could make it so that when you garrison an army they automatically go to the walls.
