Truth about crowns for the loser

So I talked Kon today due to quite a lot of confusion about how crowns for pvp work. The loser should get 50% of the winners take for the battle REGARDLESS of whether the loser pays off or runs out of time or just gets beat.

I was curious after having heard so many different takes on this in game. This is how it should work.
