How do you post attachments?

I'd like to know since I just made a guild banner (though it is rather pathetic looking, true ), and I'd like to post it on the forums.

it needs to be a picture,which you upload on imageshack, then you pick the forum code,click it and ctrl+c and copy it here and there is your picture
