Will castles be able to connect in some way or will you be able to build adjacent castles?

You mean the wall layers in a castle or entire castle strongholds?

Wall layers do join sometimes, depends on the stronghold.

Other strongholds are never that close to each other.

If it was done right with like 2 Men castles, it would look cool. I mean, if the other team had the same thing and they were really far apart I wouldn't see it as a problem.

Maybe it's a combo. of rubing and saying an adlib at the same time. Back on topic, the more I think about it now, if 2 castles were combined and they were different races like Men and Orcs it would actually look pretty stupid.
