How does one "play" or "test" a map they have made in the editor?

"test" does not work. It seems to open DoF for a split second then close.

Yes, that's an error with the steam based client. The devs hope to have a fix for it in the next week or two. The non steam based client works fine with the editor :\

As GPS said, with Steam that option to test directly from the Editor isn't currently working, but I'm enabling the option to play a custom scenario in the Singleplayer menu, so players can test from there, at least if Kon will let me include it in the next patch
