 why? I see great potential in 2AW, remember it is in early closed beta and game itself is being made mostly by 1 man. Everything will still change, game balance (units etc.) combat more like navy battles + firing arcs without just standing and shooting at each other. It will be quite interesting when finished  .

Both will be good but different in their direction. DoF as You know will give players unique chance to own piece of land (great idea indeed
) to build there and to care for it. 2AW is a little simplier like - jump in, buy ships go attack/defend space system, kill ships to get more money and buy more ships - that will be good when there is not that much time to play and when we have of course mood for space cRTS .
