Well just looking around the forum there is about 20 people or so who have exactly 10 posts and im fairly sure they are only looking for an early demo and completely ignore the word "tester". While there are some people who will test and provide feedback there will most likely be people who get in over others who play the game for 5 mins, don't like it then uninstall.. what a waste.

Of course that depends on how the invites go out, if its random then the above will most likely happen. Im sure the majority of people when they see the word "beta" they think "demo". People should see it as a privilege to play the game early and in return take the time and effort to post on the beta forums to help improve the game. Everyone wants a better product overall im sure.

Pillaging idea is win. And really, beta is a demo, the game is incomplete, it's for people to try, the only difference is that a beta is more feedback intensive.

To be honest... since its called "open beta" it doesn't make much sense to me on how it can be limited like this.. =/

Please keep in mind that the current beta is Closed Beat #5. The next round will be Open Beta 1. I hope you all get in .

If I am not invited to beta, then I'll find some other game to spend my time on. If I still think this game may be better, then I'll play this when it's released, or at least open beta. BUT, If I'm not invited to beta, then I'm probrably gonna forget about this game entirely.

Yes, what you're saying is true, I'm glad some people understand.
Sadly this kind of thing happens everywhere, whereas there will be only a few dedicated testers while a large majority would just want to mess the game (and forget about it in a day).

That's really how most games get "tested" which is why public betas and late closed betas are pretty much useless except for stress testing.

I know how stressful this can be. I've been in beta for a few games now, some to name are Wizard101, War of Legends, etc. I tried posting updates daily if I can across anythin new I liked, disliked, or found as a bug.

OF COURSE, I DID NOT POST EVERYDAY. I'm not trying to get myself in this beta saying that I do, cause that would be a lie. BUT, I did notice that not much activity came from many players in those games.

NOTE: Wizard101, didn't have a forums, they only have a bug report thing. Occasionally, they had a questionnaire after you stopped playing, which I filled out will all the important info accordingly.

Also in Beta for Rift, as this is also their final beta event. A great game, and so far I've only had good things to post about it. CLASSIFIED.

and being necro spammer on forums makes you more dedicated tester, cuz having 200 posts, is far better than 15.. am i right.. no i aint, i still feel a need to post now and then, so every spammer wont take me over by 50 posts.. and thats just broken logic
