So it seems. But you can make those 10 posts really quick by just asking questions on already opened topics.

Remember, those 10 posts need to be contributive posts. Spamming 'I want a beta key' in 10 threads isn't want we're after and won't get you into the beta.

It's not just some arbitrary criteria, we're looking for people who are enthusiastic about the game/genre and we're also trying to get people involved in the community. Hopefully, you'll continue posting after you hit 10 posts, especially once you're in the beta, as feedback from the forum is how we improve the game.

Also, you don't have to make all 10 posts today. Sign-ups close on the 28th, meaning you have more than 10 days left to post, averaging 1 post a day will meet that criteria. So, if you came back each day, you could see if there was a new topic that interested you and you could post a relevant response.

thanks. I already do 10 posts... but it's really strange. you think, that if i will come back every day, i interesting this game more? maybe... i register this game at december and wait for new beta :) and now, i really whant to try it :)

No worries. I saw you had posted in a few threads while I was writing my post.

The 'come back each day' part was reflective of the fact that people only need to average one post a day if they signed up today and wanted to meet the criteria before the deadline.

Essentially I was trying to say if people were trying to make posts before the deadline and couldn't find anything they wanted to reply to today, then they could come back tomorrow and there would be more things posted that they might find interesting, so there was no need to rush.

I missed the last Beta registration thing by a day, and felt like a fool, so I'm glad I actually caught it this time around. Open Beta no less. Hope I can get into this time, really wanna try this game out :P.

Maybe a dev can answer this for me, will the beta invites be the first 2000 that registered or will it be a random 2000 from everyone who signed up? My chances look kind of grim if its the former.

Sign-ups for this Open Beta stage¹ close 28th of February but the actual beta will probably start mid-March to allow us time to sort through the applications, send out invites and to get updates ready.

There will be about 2000 spots available with the first 600 or so spots going to those who signed up for Closed Beta 5 but didn't get in.

The remaining spots will be allocated based partially on what system specs we're looking to test. Just so you know, we're not only looking at top end computers, we want to test on a range of systems.

Post count/quality will also influence who we invite as we'd prefer people who will most likely report bugs, make suggestions and get involved in the community rather than those simply looking for a free game. Some people don't like the minimum 10 post criteria, but if people aren't posting now, how can we know if they're likely to post beta reports?

Although, having said all that, considering there are currently 2,186 active members (out of 4,744 members) with some of those already in Closed Beta, chances are good you'll get in :D

If for some reason you don't make it into this beta stage, don't despair, there will be another beta stage as mentioned by my boss in another thread when someone asked if they'd get into beta:

¹Ok, ok, not truly Open, more semi-Open but open in the sense that there are open sign-ups whereas the early closed beta stages required winning a competition
