I have to agree with you on this. If one faction has flying units and the others dont, will give a bad balance between them. the flying units could go around defences and over rivers and such and the others would not be able to.

Flying units could be balanced. They would have to be very vulnerable to archer/ranged fire is all.

True but they can still fly around... or maby not... we still do not know about them. The developers will most likly make them ground based... Or so I think...

I doubt most of the arrows would hit smaller flying dragons, and the larger ones would have thick scales ALBEIT a weak udnerbelly.
I suspect that the Dragon's are the producers favourite faction and willd devote their workers/private people to beta it.

That's why I'd love to play the beta for exclusive use of the dragons. Hopefully Reverie reveals only a little about them so that we can be suprised with the finished product.

I don't want to be 100% surprised, or I would just be dissapointed. I want dragons to act like REAL dragons, not the scaly demons some people think they are...
