Ive been anticipating an MMORTS much like this for at least 10+ years now.

And by chance I was reading a thread about gamespot and how they are being sued right now for something relating to their function as an advertisement site more than a gamer site (big game makers pay them to get the best reviews, spotlights, etc.)....and then someone said something like "you know its a pity because some of the best games out there and upcoming arent even on there at all, like Dawn of Fantasy a revolutionary new MMORTS" --- i clicked link right away, and here i am on january 25th, the last day of beta registration, just having filled in the form.

Way to go! this project looks incredible...
where are you guys based? Looks like dev studio in canada? Job openings?
Seriously, i even drew up some plans to start something like this (an MMO RTS) about 3-4 years ago with my tech company in the cali bay area. Had we been a company more closely tied to entertainment industry rather than the online business industry we probably would have.

Not expecting anyone to read this but hey, maybe...
in any case, heres one new fan that will be following it diligently.
hope to be a tester too! just built a brand new gaming rig for the winter break.

Dear Forumers,

An update - we are looking to start the Closed Beta V on the 31st of January. We will start sending out beta welcome e-mails as early as the 28th. Unfortunately we won`t be able to let everyone in this time around - there are closed to 900 sign-ups for the 300 CB V spots right now. However those who signed up will be automatically added to the Open Beta 1 to start at the end of February.
We are selecting the 300 individuals right now - priority is given to active forumers (with several forum posts, as well as certain system requirements we want to test the game with)


Hey Mythal - thanks for the kind words! And it is truly sad to see GameSpot become a marketing hub - luckily they finally added Dawn of Fantasy page:) And with backing of 505 games - hopefully we`ll get marketing of our own onto GameSpot - playing their game:) I do however hold Gamespot in high regard - they do put out best reviews imo.
And yeah - we are located in Toronto, Canada. But good half of our employees work remotely - keep an eye on the openings, never hurts to send in your resume:d

I don't have the 10 post minimum but I figured I'd sign up right away and be a more active community member. Will I be disqualified because I submitted it at a time that I did not have 10 post

I don't think you will be disqualified because it's my understanding they waived the 10 post requirements for CB5. Also keep in mine that open beta sign ups are now open and that will hopefully be at the end of Febuary. So even if you don't get into CB5 you can still get your hands on the game ~ a month later :)
