Siege ladders seem like something that could be spammable and easily ignore gates and walls, i guess i will have to wait and see. But im sure it will be something to try.

It ll be much harder to defense a castle, the trebuchet can easily kill units and destroy the entire walls soo destructibe walls will result in a catapult "****ing" spam killing our strategy too conquer the castle. Its a clear advantage for attackers. Dont you think ?

I wouldn't worry too much about catapult spamming.
Enemy trebuchets, catapults and bolt throwers may be able to take out your walls, however, that takes time as they have a low rate of fire, are inaccurate and cost stone to fire. Plus in order to attack you they would have to come into range of your wall-mounted trebuchets, catapults or bolt throwers. Siege units take up the same space in an army as a battalion, so players need to find the right balance between siege units and infantry/archer/cavalry battalions. If all my enemy had were ranged siege units, I'd just send out cavalry to wipe them out. If you're attacking, a better strategy would be to use ranged siege units to soften up the defenders while you move in fodder units to draw fire and have archers take out gate defenses so that your rams could take down the gate. At the same time, you would move up siege towers and siege ladders so your infantry can get over the walls. |
