Default In game communication

I was just wondering, is there anyway (in game) to chat to people either by keyboard typing or by voice chat over a microphone? Because me and my friend are on the fence on weather to get the Xbox or PC version of the game. Because the only thing the Xbox has over the PC so far is being able to talk to other people easily. But if there is a way to chat to people, I would definatley get it for the PC. So can you?

There would probably be a typing box or PM system but I am NOT someone from the team or with any knowledge, so actually I'm just bumping the tread

Yes there is. If you look at some of the old media, they test it in game by talking to themselves.
Im pretty sure anyway, unless I'm thinking of another game. There will definitely be some form of communication in game though.

some kind of chat would be nice, implemented voice chat isnt necessary, there are enough alternatives, like TS, Ventrilo, etc

I think if alliances with more than 3-4 people come in to play some sort of ingame forum or very good mail system would be nice, to coordinate and plan things..

A mail system would probobly do it if you can have several recipients but a forum would be awesome if it could be made

Yea TS/Ventrilo works just fine, usually better than in game voice chats anyway

Although if you're just talking to friends and not like a clan, I would personally say Skype is the way to go. It's free and it's easy to run in the background
