They originally considered undead as a playable race, but have decided since that they'd only be going with the four (orc, human, elf, dragon). Whether that means we won't see any undead isn't known, but there won't be a whole faction of them.

They may add them in the expansion. I think it would be cool to have them and it would be the right choice to put them in the expansion.

Zombies shouldn't be slow, half-witted lumbering carcasses... that's the idea of reanimated corpses. Zombies are infected humans, and so in my opinion shouldn't be able to control their energy use. That's why they need to eat often, for they use up monumental energy being very fast and having unlimited stanima. If there is an undead faction later on, that's what they need to include

I think we would have a faction more like the Dwarves rather the undead in an expansion, personally though I would just rather see more units and add-ons to the existing sides in the expansion because it is easier to balance them all.

lol nice one. it would be alright i suppose. instead of barracks you could have a grave and stuff but i dont reckon its worth the time. dwarves should be in it.
