Dude this game insanely awesome but i wish there was more to do like ships cannons and the ability to put npcs on your side that would make the game 5 times better.

it's still in alpha so anything can happen. and you can make some kind of cannon with TNT. also Notch have mentioned having NPC towns in the game.

if you are too stupid to play it than that is bad for you because it is one of the original games you can play
but something with building a fortress for dwarfs is for nerds or something

its like playing legos for older people... and for people with ocd.... like me.

but i found a solution to people destroying your stuff. i build my castles out of obsidian and just use the multiplying glitch to get however many i need, it works perfectly lol

Legos for older people fits minecraft perfectly lol. I think they just recently patched the copy glitch though :-(.
