PLEEEASE do NOT put the third person idea in off of rise and fall it is crap. and if you do then make an option to disable cos if it is on the computers heoes just rolls down to your base and just runs side to side firin arrows and literely sometimes merks your whole army its a ****take. im gonna read da features cos dis game looks BADMAN, then ill see what else there could be.

Lua is free software, distributed under a liberal license (the well-known MIT license). It can be used for both academic and commercial purposes at absolutely no cost.

witch king trust the hero mode is gay its just dynasty warriors but worse.

No hero mode is not gay if done correctly. If you don't botch it up like EA it would be great if not in DoF but in the expansion.

If EA did it the hero lvl 1 would take out 5 players, in the space of 3 minutes. This looks like it will be done right

Lol ive been away for a while, NEWS!

But...dear god...the past month i've been scouring the internet for "GOOD" RTS games and...dear god what a task it was.

Forgive my language but i cant beleive how much utter Sh!te is clogging up the genre.

Out of 30 demo's i've tried and 15 full games I can at this moment name only 4! yes 4! that I and a few mates deem to be good or very good besides the obvious 1's

Obvious good RTS's (based on public opinion/size of community/Industry reviews etc)

-The DOW series...all of them (Massive community...probably the biggest)
-Battle for middle earth series (not so much ROTWK*?*) (still large community)
-Age of empires1+2/mythology (fair community)
-Starcraft/broodwar (10 years on...still very large community)
-Total war series (Med 2 + kingdoms mostly) ok so its more strategy but w/e
(large community)
-Supreme commander + FA (large)
-C&C most of the series (Still very large community)
-Rise of nations etc (fair community)
-Company of heroes + expansion (large)
-Empire earth 1/2 (dieing now)

And thats...about it AFA publicity

As for the ones i found that were good while hunting:

AOE:3 + expansions (fairly strong community)
Star wars empire at war + expansion (lacking community)
Rise of legends (unfortunatly...dead community)
WarFront (dunno lol)

Its a shame really, Rise and falls 3rd person thing is good...but when you actually play the game...meh.

I cant beleive out of 30 I tried (IMHO) those 4 were/are the only good ones.

Hell there's probably ones i've missed or even ones that shouldnt be there in you guys opinions.

It just would be nice to see a RTS which can blend some of those top 10 RTS's features together for a truely unique experience.

I have very high expectations for this game, the features are looking great so far...lets just hope our dreams arent smashed and plumitted into hell like we (or mostly I was) for games such as:

-Empire earth 3
-Earth 2160
-Maelstrom: The Battle For Earth Begins
-Black and white 2 ( NO SKIRMISH/MULITPLAYER WTF?!)

And many more.
