I was backing up some of my files earlier when a strange thought crossed my mind, 'I wonder how many times the DOF build is backed up'

Out of interest how many times has it been backed up? And does each dev have a full version or just a relevant piece for them?
It would be devastating if the files were to go corrupt and be lost, so im assuming it is backed up many times and spread out far and wide?

Yes the builds, code, art assets, etc are backed up many times and on several storage devices. Devastating is not the word if they lose everything. If that happened to them they would go under.

Pretty often the build is in an unplayable state when a new feature is being put in. But it's usually implemented and playable again in a couple hours.

We use SVN, so we don't need to back up as we can just revert to the last update if something goes wrong. However, Kon uploads all the big checkpoints to our server.
