would mean opposite orcs could put an army of archers on the field, and their numbers would be able to sustain the lesser races number range advantage and get the arrows away which would be like 'i could have sworn it was day light when we starting fighting, ahh theres the sun Uhhhh.... die' but thank god its not

It's going to be more realistic in the fact that from a couple hundred yards away, an archer won't kill everyone with pinpoint accuracy.

I have no idea to say the name in quote but its Darathor And it seemed like he wrote that from a couple of hundreds of yards away they can't kill everyone with pinpoint accuracy but i thought i felt a HOWEVER they can do so in ten yards or so... That would mean a total slaughter of everyone else

Remember, from what we know, an arrow from a human archer can do 10% of the damage needed to kill an Orc Bezerker. Archer Battalions start with 10 units, so an archer battalion does do enough damage to kill one Bezerker, but thats with each arrow hitting a single unit, which won't statistically happen. So instead, archers do a lot of damage over time, but not in one burst.

Right, they might have to fire four times before killing him, that is assuiming like a 25% accursy maybe depending on the distance.

I think it should take no more than 5 arrow hits to kill an unarmored unit. Sorry, but it just makes sense. I don't want this to be a rock-paper-scissors game, and it doesn't look like it will be

I like rome total war... It got that indiscriminately arrow rains from archers killing dusins of your own troops in a volley. However their archers are kinda bad, the only archers worth using on the battlefield (in defense its okay with crappy archers) is horse archers

I think Age of Empires 2 did a good job with accurcy.

Erm barring that thumb ring tech...100% accuracy from HA or any archers is terrible. What are they using? Laser sights?

I had some trouble with that too, but in general the accurcy was far from perfect.

you sure? They could use guided arrows with an additional thruster to come back if they miss
