This is something I can agree with.

Some good books you shoukd read are Ranger's Apprentice, the black tatoo, Artemis Fowl, The Supernatural, Sea of Trolls, Spartan Quest. Too lazy to list some more but that should be good enough for a bit.

Is it possible that there would be a way to compile recommended books into a list for us to access at a later date easily without having to read through several pages of comments? (especially since much is arguing about the inheritance series, SORRY)

I highly recommend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, starting with the first book Wizard's First Rule. Once you start Wizard's First Rule you'll have a very hard time putting it down

And if you're ever bored of the fantasy genre, try Simon Sebag Montefiore's biography of Stalin. Not that you'll ever will...

Okay, scrap everything about Forgotten Realms books.
Read Dune: Frank Herbert's Dune. No, don't watch the movie, read it. Best. Sci-fi. Book. Ever. Hell, you want a copy, I have two. Something a bit more Brain-candy would be the Dresden Series by Butcher, their entertaining, though they are getting more and more... wonky. And you can never go wrong with the classics: The Complete Sherlock Holmes for instance. |

I second the Night Angel Trilogy and Foundation series. Also, I thought the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud was great. Anyone else read those?

Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan is great. I love the series. The story is well developed and has the continuation kind of feel. You just want to find out more about all the characters. My favourite book out of the series is probably "The Ruins of Gorlan", the first book. Don't get turned of by the corny book names though, I bought the book after reading the first 3 chapters in the store.
And, Harry Potter is also good, I know people find the series annoying, but they are good books. Way better then that ****pile twilight series. ![]() EDIT: This is my hundredth post, awesome.
