What do you think about Warcraft's main menu?

I frankly didn't find the animation times in the WC3 menu slowed things down too much. After the program's lightning fast load time, I have plenty of patience left over, so it's never bothered me. The only gripe I have with the WC3 menu is that when you go to play a custom game in singleplayer, the window for selecting the map file is tiny; it's so hard to find the one you want if you have a big collection (which, as any warcraft player will attest, you will)

I liked the WC3 menus. It added a nice touch and didn't delay things too much. Sometimes though, if I'm disconnected I get ****ed at the animated doors opening and closing into/out of the bnet login screen. In Frozen Throne, maybe RoC, you can use the menu's background model in a map.

Good idea. Yea at the moment the menu is set of maps scenes, I'm 100% sure there will be tons of 'shell maps' as they are called, just like in cnc generals zero hour, there where thousands of them, but it was hard to organize them, maybe we can put several sets in to choose from?

Yeah maybe like Fortress maps, adventure/quest maps and survival maps.

Sorry for the bump but that's precisely one of my girevances against Warcraft III, after seing the effect for the first time I've soon forgotten the cool impression and become annoyed by the useless slowdown it brought to the menu navigation.

Anyways, what the games of today should have as a menu, is what have most websites : Every window should be accessible from a single menu, itself showing up on every window. Like in World in Conflict, if I remember well.
I don't want to use the old "Back" button anymore.

Nobody wants to spend much time on the menus. Except if the music is fantastic.
