I think undead and a new darker elf race would be really cool (like the bloo elf or dark elf) there could also some new divine races like angels and demons or maybe a whole new race that is ip to your imagination

Woah amazing brainstorming process!

With our Dragons - we planned a combination - yes there are few very powerful Dragon units, but also infantry in the face of these humanoid Drake units. In addition they`l employ "slave" units - naked, dirty humans, elves and orc labourers with chains - slowly gathering resources, under supervision of Drakes.

Awesome! So the special units of the dragon race would be dragons, then drakes as infantry, and they would use other races as slaves too, that sounds like a very dark race, maybe even more than the orc

taking that into consideration too, I think it would be good if the looks of Sssilistra changed, in the descriptions it says that is full of burned trees, wastelands lava and volcanos, so the first thing that comes to my mind related to this is mordor:

I think you should change the looks of sssilistra in a future patch when you release the dragons as a race, at least from the world map, to make it look more dark:

The dragon race does sound very cool. The game needs another "bad guy" faction.

I think barbarians and beastmen do have similar themes and would work well together in that regard. Something to consider though is that with barbarians satyrs centaurs minotaurs werewolves and a number of other hybrid creatures the beastmen faction might be overcrowded. I was thinking of bestmen as the children of the wild wood. Unlike elves who try to impose a harmonious balance on nature the beastmen are nature and act upon their wants and needs accordingly.

Also I remember reading something in game about the humans sailing out of the West to settle their current lands. With that in mind it is entirely possible that another human civilization exists across the western sea. Having another human faction might not be so bad as long as its flavor and play style are different enough from the current human faction. Not necessarily barbarians but there are a lot of other options.

I agree that Amazons have a lot of potential. I like dark elves but I don't think they need to appear in the game any time soon. Even an NPC unit might be enough for them. As for demons and angles I think if they are introduced they should be summonable units but not whole factions.

I got to totally agree with you.


im gonna go further and suggest some of the units that beastmen (and maybe each race) would exactly have, so they don't become overcrowded.

1 Tribesmen: The unit designed to gather resources. (Like human peasant)

2 Ratsmen: Could be used as an advanced unit to gather resources from dead bodies. (Like dwarf miners who are specialized in gathering stone and gold)

10 Harpies: Designed for lightning strikes, the tactic is hit hard, and fly. This can do a lot of damage to enemy units and certain strategic points, for example a surprise attack from these could destroy the door mechanism, which would allow the other forces to enter the castle.

I like your unit list! Maybe there could be two types of centaur troops one melee and one ranged? It seems like there is a lack of ranged infantry. Perhaps introduce either barbarian or satyr archers. The idea of a living siege unit that throws rocks is very fitting. Either a hill giant or Cyclopes would work well in that role.

you're right about the lack of ranged units, maybe there could be 2 types of satyr units 1 with pikes and the other with spears that can throw.

About if there should be 2 centaurs instead of having 1 with the ability to switch between range/melee... I think they dont need more units and a hybrid unit addition would be great.

Considering that other races have all this, there is some space left for other beastmen units:

I'm glad to hear that , by the way I think some of the race units should be available to be bought in the market before they are added as official races, this way we could test them, just like what happens with dwarves and minotaur. Can't wait for the next updates!

oh, and I decided to add color to the last post and add more info to the post that is before that one. much easier and clear now.

I'm liking the way things are shaping up. As always I have a few thoughts I want to share. Should tribesmen have any melee combat capability? Since the beastman faction has expanded somewhat perhaps the faction could be renamed "Wildlings" or something similar. Instead of a technician may the dwarves could have Rune Casters. The Rune Casters would have spells dealing with the element of earth. I'm mainly suggesting this because I don't really like the idea of dwarves being mechanically focused and having technology that is well beyond anyone else. Oh and don't forget goat mounted outriders!
