Lost Units and Crowns

Almost every time I get caught in PvP when I'm not the one initiating it the battle ends right before the start. Then when exiting back to the campaign map the loading screen freezes. I have to kill the game and start it over. I haven't lost anything in the past but this time I lost 200 crowns, 1 lvl 5 Dwarven Axemen and 4 lvl 5 Women Warden. I'm not so much concerned with the units I'm really upset about the crowns. Some help would be nice. Thank you.
