Another one with problem with cd key

I wanted to start a new post, as the old one has not had anything new since last year as far as I can see.

I dont know what to do, my cd key is not accepted and the suggestions made on page 1 and 2 are both useless to me and do not work. I only purchased the game today, and want to get it to work. What must I do? This is infuriating and I should not have to mention that, as this is not strickly speaking a brand new game anymore, I should not be having this problem.

I had the same problem. What you do is you click back to the main screen and do it all over again

do you mean reinstall the game, because i cant get to any main menu on the game. I open it from desktop and the first thing that comes up is asking for the CD key which is what wont work

It didnt ask me for the cd key when I installed it.

The exact process I went through is very simple.

I first installed the game like any other, and then straight after the installation it requested the CD key, I found it on the back of the manual, and proceeded to enter it. I got this error, something about having expired or already in use, i retried it several times, and googled a problem, found the forum and suggested fixes. I tried implementing them, nothing seems to have worked, maybe there's something I missed, dont know, but now I just dont know what on earth to do.

My cd key still doesn't work, and even though I called up the store I bought it from, advice, bring it back in for a refund is all they said. I want to know if i can get this working.

Please someone suggest what I should or can do to solve this?
