quest glitch.

Im am very sorry to say but i was doing to elven quests Defend your homeland and Market Trading and i finished both but in the game it reports it as unfinished. to clarify i traded with a big city and it didn't register as finished and i built walls and the quest didn't register as finished. or is this problem just me being really stupid?
