Just lost 8+ hrs of play?

I had just spent all night gathering resources and constructing a wall around my entire town and its ALL GONE!

I logged in and it's at a point prior to any of the construction taking place, my peasants are not where they should be and I have tons of resources all gone.

Was there some kind of rollback? WTF is going on?

It's a bug, it's really rare apparently. I had it also, but not to the extent of 8 hours. I don't think they can do anything to give you your time back.

What I do, after some advice from a helpful dev, send a test message in chat every 15-20 minutes, if it doesn't display, you know you're not in-game properly.

Well thats rather disheartening. I guess it's not as bad as some other people I have been reading about, but a whole nights worth of work gone *poof* is a pretty lame bug.

I was really annoyed at first but it wasn't that bad in the end. Just logged in and bought my pops cap worth of cows, next day I had enough time and resources to be able to replace everything and then some, without any play time at all

I'm sure they'll look at it at some point. It may be worth chatting with a dev if it happens often.
