Firstly like to say hello to everyone,
1: Is this a mmo or multiplayer game with single player options? 2: Does your playing the game carry on while your offline? 3: Can I attack anyone I come across? 4: With the editor, can these creations be used online? Just a little confused as to, am I playing an mmo or multiplayer! Just a few for now ![]() |

There is some Single Player Included A little like Total War where you can play Single Campaigns or Single Battles in Single Player 2. If your Playing Online Kingdom a limited number of things should run further while your Offline For Example your Buildings will still Finish Building and Ressources will still being Gathered (tough the Ressources being Gathered still has some Bugs it works or works not from time to time ^^) But you cant be Attacked while your Offline so you wont one day Come Online and see oh **** my City is Gone ^^ 3. If your PvPing the Target you get will be a Random Target in the Area you are means if you go to Search for a Opponent the Game will evaluate your Armys Power and then look if theres a Matching Opponent in the Area your Army is Searching You can Choose if your Attacking Citys or Armys but you wont actually be able to Specify a Target you also wont be able to Attack someone which is too far below or above you in Strength 4. Now you got me I never tried the Editor so I dont know about it ^^ In Overall well yes your pretty much playing an MMO in Online Kingdom your in the Same World as all others which is the requirement for a Massive Multiplayer Game Greetz

Ok, so I add some questions from myself.
1) Is there any ingame timer so I know what time is ingame? 2) Is there any possibility to reconfig keybindings? 3) Is there any way to center the view on the ctrl group? 4) Is there any way to order one batalion from the ctrl group to move without ordering it to the other soldiers from the same ctrl group? 5) Is this a bug, where I order one batalion to attack and 2secs later half of this batalion engages while the other half does nothing? Is this only graphic bug or do actually numbers behind the graphic also work for me with half of the potential of the batalion? I will let myself to ask further question here to avoid creating new topics. I will be greatul for the answers. The game is cool, just a bit rough for now for a carebear playes ![]() |

Hmm Ingame you only have two Times currently being Winter and Summer and both being seen easily by Snow or Green Grass :P As for normal Clock on Realtime Well If I remember right the Chat can show you the actual Time but I am playing alot of Games so I am not sure if it was DoF were you the Option of Showing the Time in Chat 2. Not as far as I know theres only very Few Keybindings to start with but this is not actual anyways since with Pathfinding this will Change tremendously alone due to the fact of having much different Options of Commanding Troops maybe you could Suggest the Devs to invent an simple Keybindings File along with Pathfinding 3. Not as far as I know but I think I heard something about Minimap becoming or already being able to Command and Change View 4. Back in the day you could select a Group and then select a Single Battallion out of it making it easy to Order one out of many but they changed it and now you dont deselect the others anymore instead you only make one the Primary Selection and the other stay in secondary selection status But as before this will be changed with Pathfinding Update I usually make Groups overlapping at some point means I have 2 Groups with all Melee or all Ranged Squads and then 4 additional Groups for different special Orders to react faster with Pathfinding there should be more Groups Possible then this will work much better also there might be other Options to this Joseph already feeded some Rumors about new Special Orders and stuff 5. Nope its not a Bug it depends on Situation and Front Each Unit is taking up Space so if two Squads Clash only the Frontal Units will Fight while the ones in the Rear will stay Back If the Units behind cant get to the front without taking longer roundabout ways they will stay put and wait for an Opening an Ogre for example will be Surrounded and then be attacked by maybe 8 to 10 guys the remaining 10 will wait up an Enemy Squad well that Depends on how the Fight Spreads in worst case both Squads will be pressed together and only 5 on 5 will Fight but it might also happen that the line extends or is broken to either way and the whole Squad will Fight Its an Importand part on Tactics and Control More Experienced PvP players will not only press Attack they will spread and move without Attack order and then Attack when they formed an own Line they do this to make sure that as many of your own Forces Fight as few Enemy Forces as Possible After all if you Field 20 Squads and 15 of em Form a Fighting Line encirclind 10 of the Enemy Squads you will fight on both sides those the pressed Squads will lose HP much faster while your own Squads will take less damage after all you have 15 Squads Fighting vs 10 Squads means you have only 5 Squads Idle while he has 10 Squads Idle the 15 Squads will Inflict more damage on the 10 Squads then the 10 Squads on the 15 Squads this increases your Chance on Victory quite Greatly Dont think that Formations are only for the Buff Stats :P an Cavalry Unit forming a Wedge will drive into enemy and those Break up a Line allowing you to move in with Units while Pushing enemy Units back an Swordman Squad forming a Line will beat a Swordman Squad forming a Tight Formation because the Tight Formation will have more units that wont fight due to being encirceld in the middle xxxxxxxxxx xxoooooxx xxooooo xxooooo xxooooo One Squad is "x" one is "o" both have 20 Men now you see Squad "o" has 8 Men Fighting vs 12 Men of Squad "x" each Soldier does Damage and each Soldier has Health 8 Men have less Health and less Damage than 12 means the 8 Men will not only lose the Fight but will also not make 8 Men worth of Damage to the other Side the value is 60% vs 40% (12 vs 8 = 3/5 vs 2/5) so the 8 Men will lose their live while taking down about 5 or 6 Men so the Fight will Continue xxxxxxxxx xxooooo xxooo xoooo Units from the Back fill up the Ranks well the ratio doesnt change here since I filled up in a way that it stayed same of course it might change as well 12 Men of Squad "x" Fight vs just 8 of Squad "o" again Squad "x" has some injured this time so lets say they lose 8vs8 that leaves us at xxxx xoo xoo Remaining Soldiers are 6 on Squad "x" and 4 on Squad "o" now things will go faster only one Guy can Replace on Broken line means that this will now countdown 6vs3 (1 in reserve on team "o") 5vs3 (no reserves) 4vs1 (no reserves 3vs0 "x" Won This would be one Option of course Fights are less linear and especially PvPlers will Retreat and Regroup if set up like that or will engage additional Units or use Ranged Support lots of variables ^^ and of course this will be Army Sized xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooxxx xxxxxxxxxxxooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooxxxxxxx xxxxxxxooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooo xxxxxxxxxxxxxooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooo xxxxxxxooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooo xxxxxxoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooo xxxxxxoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooo for example ^^ Well I think this is one of the Good Aspects it requires some Management of the player to Fight well :P Use Formations and other Abilitys of Units to your advantage and reform the line dont forget you see the Battle From above so you know what things look like the Soldiers on the Field only see what they see down there they cant overview the Battlefield they thats why Generals in the Middle Ages always placed emself on a Hill or something overviewing the Battlefield and making sure the Units moved Romans and Greeks fought with that in Mind which was main reason that they were alot more effective they made sure to face of Enemys from multiple Flanks keeping their own losses small while inflicting lots of casultys to the enemy or to break open Enemys Lines ^^ Aww long text sorry Hope I answered some of your questions Greetz

.My question considering the "lazy" soldiers in batalion was connected with frontal engage, where some of the soldiers did not engage despite the fact, others from the same batalion did. I understand your explanation but it was not the case, I am afraid. Still, you put it really straight and clear .So far I find the game really interesting and the idea behind the mechanics seems cool to me. If I could suggest anything to Devs, is that maybe you could rethink the PvP aspect of the game considering siegeing Castles and retaking them by winner. I mean, if you let players have more than 1 castle (For example max 3 for the balance issue), then if the player loses the battle and has at least 1 more castle in his hands, the current one (that was being battled for) could be taken by the attacker. I think it would guarantee players to keep their kingdom (last castle cannot be lost and obeys the current rules) and keep enjoying the game, and at same time attackers would be more motivated and more rewarded I think. Just a suggestion ![]() You did really good job here, Devs - thank you for the project, commitment and hope you polish this game and fix the existing bugs + add new features you have promised !!! But your free to put up a Suggestion in the Suggestion Forums The Devs usually read here every 1 or 2 days so they answer to Suggestions and other Stuff pretty much (which i still main reason for me to like this Game ^^) As for the Soldiers Well if its not the Case then Describe the Situation a little Closer Since I didnt saw what happened I can only Guess on the Basic Ideas of what people would be irritiatet about ^^

Well, you seem to be well informed, so I let myself to ask one more question.
How does exactly the offline gathering resource system work? Issue example: I have total cap at 12000 possible. Current value at 7000/12000. And this 7000 is let's say 1000 food, 1000 wood, 4000 stone and some gold. And lets assume I have average income per minute 30 for food, 12 for wood, 12 for stone. I log out for 30 hours. And what will I see when I log back in? I have impression (I did not write my resource level at loggin out) that proportion between the resources changed and my overall value did not change ( still 7000/12000). So now I have like 1800 food, 1800 wood and 2000 stone. Main question comes from the fact - how can it be my stone DROPPED when I was offline? As a clue - I am not building any walls and I had no units queued for production. I am really interested not only the answer to my question, but mainly the explanation (some equation maybe?) of how the system works? Thanks in advanced. |

Well this might actually be a Problem
From what I hear the Ressource Gathering is Bugged so it doesnt Work right I can make a Guess but thats all it is I have no Guarantee that this is the reason for this bug ^^ Right now I think that once your Offline your Techs and Upgrades are no longer countet which causes the problem that your Storage will be Reduced to base Value of only your Houses/Huts (Depending on your Race) or maybe the Houses are not countet and the techs are well whichever is the case you get a much reduced max storage which will now be filled up Now you need to know that the Storage has a strange Behavior If your storage is full and you add an value of one Ressource if will add this value and then decrease all values till it fits in the storage Example You have a Storage of 10000 (made up numbers so its easy to calculate) Inside you have 2000 Food, 5000 Wood and 3000 Stone Its full Now each cycle he will add 30 Food, 10 Wood and 5 Stone Now First Cycle Storage has 2030 5010 3005 and will reduce to limit again all equally your over max 45 means each ressource loses 15 points new stand will be 2015 Food 4995 Wood 2990 Stone You see the Numbers changed now this happens every cycle the ressources are updatet with the Value given by your Income As you can clearly see this will cause that the Ressource you have a high Income with will be increasing while the Ressources with lower income will slowly start decaying (I for example have 30 Food 4 Wood and 2 Stone income you can Imagine each time I come back Online I have nearly all my storage filled up with Food ^^) Greetz Ps I like to do Modding on Games therefore I have an more or less good understanding of how Game Mechanics work out And thus I can usually make an guess on how something works and how it behaves I am not always on the right track tough I am not a Programmer after all so theres often other ways to code then thus that I know and which only happen to match a few variables of the one I had in mind causing me to think its that one and then biting me into the ass by behaving differently suddenly ^^

Your explanation has sense, to be honest. Well, still....it hurts me, 'cos I spent much Wealth on increasing storage cap. I am missing these Wealth points to build the stone walls and don't benefit from the storage upgrade... Painful bug.
