Couple of newbie questions?

Firstly like to say hello to everyone,

1: Is this a mmo or multiplayer game with single player options?
2: Does your playing the game carry on while your offline?
3: Can I attack anyone I come across?
4: With the editor, can these creations be used online?

Just a little confused as to, am I playing an mmo or multiplayer!
