funny how they call it free to play,when its actually buy to play,this totally ruined my hopes

Free-to-play was mentioned with regards to the Online component in answering the question whether there would be a monthly fee.

But you are right, Dawn of Fantasy is a buy-to-play game (pay once, play forever), so I have updated the FAQ to avoid confusion and the ruining of hopes.

Yup, sorry about that - free-to-play means subscription-free. We decided not to the route of many of our competitors who charge both the initial cost and a regular fee to keep playing.

what advantage there is to join a group? I'd rather be independent.

No real advantage to joining a group, other than the support system it offers. So you can choose to play either in a guild or solo and do just fine either way.

I figured that too much has changed over the last two years with DOF for the old FAQs to still be helpful. Hopefully this one will be easier to navigate
