Hello
iv been one of the many lurkers for this game for some time, following the progress of this game for some time.. but since i see that the forum has been a bit quiet for a while, probably due to the lack of news i thought i would try and bring up a discussion about how you imagine the music of Dawn of Fantasy to be, both on the battlemap and on the campaignmap? personally i would love something like this beeing implemented: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjI1A...eature=related . please write your own suggestions ![]() |

Also, they thought about allowing us to import our own songs for use ingame. It has been mentioned somewhere

Great music, but sounds a little too Persian for our theme. I think you'll like our music though.
We have a fantastic composer and you can listen to a couple of his tracks on our Facebook page. You can listen to some more of his work on his website. As for importing music, I haven't looked into this but I assume you can just put your own tracks in the respective audio folder and they'll be added to the mix.

i guess it is a bit persian in the beginning i guess, it is supposed to be an oriental theme anyway... I just think this would fit quite good for the elven faction, maybe that is just me but in any case, i look forward to hearing the soundtrack you guys are cooking![]() |

Haha OP's music suggestion sounds very diablo-esque. Not sure if you guys got that impression.

Just started listening to the music now. It does sound great...it is unique...has these like Native American pipes, celtic-ish sounding bagpipes, and nice drums. Although all of those are just the closest I can actually guess that they sound like...they didn't seem to copycat anything in particular...it's not explicitly bagpipes for example, so you can still imagine this as a new world, not one we live in now.

Very interesting style... I really like his selection of style and sounds he used for the trailer you guys announced back in August, although a more of an epic pinnacle point would have been nice
. I'm curious as to which sound fonts from which company he likes to use and if he uses any real instrument recordings for any of his stuff?Last edited by Jason Dennic : 12-08-2010 at 08:12 PM. |

Haha, maybe I'll write in that style Alpha and we'll see whose better :P. lol no, in reality, a really good composer usually has the ability to park their ego and idea of "whose better" and focus on the idea of "how can I learn from your music to better mine." That's why I love listening to different styles and different composers. It helps me to know what different colors and textures to add to my music and what to... not add... lol
