Well they ARE goblins, call it a gamble, I mean they are cheap, if you get 100 of them odds are you got at least 50 fully effective troops! They're like min beserkers too, you can send them charging into anything without them hesitating.You don't get that kind of reliability with humans!

You do know goblins have the lowest hp of any unit ingame + they have no armor.

Nice showcase, tho i still like elves the most but i cant also wait now to try humans =). Especially looks nice how gateway can be much reinforced. But town hall could be made more castle like (like castle in settlers 7) and not like big house =).

Very nice, I like the look that the humans have in this game. It really makes them look like a true medieval town/city/race/army/thing. The building and technologies really look unique and interesting. I'll definitely be playing my human city a little more often just to look at the city.

Well, historically, Castles wer not really one structure - they were an evolution of a Manor House.

Manor Houses were stone, fortified structures that contained kitchens, feasting halls, bedrooms, stables, etc.

Then eventually, walls were added to create a courtyard, then towers... wala! a Castle.

I think these are meant to be more like Manor Houses, rather than a castle.

That wouldn't end up any better for the goblins than if they had tested it on themselves

I have to agree with the "castle rather than big house" notion. It does look a bit odd seeing this less-than impressive wooden building in the middle of the most epic strongholds evah.

Both pics are good examples of fortified Manors, I think, but with crenallations. I do admit the ones in Dof are more like, uh, the mayor's house, rather than a Manor house. Some adjustment there might be nice.
