Default question

I'm new to this forum. matter of fact i just found out about this game 2 days ago. The type of games I play are starcraft and warcraft 3 and now i'm waiting on starcraft 2. Why, I mentioned that is I like very competitive and fast paced games. Will this game be fast paced and competitive or will this game be more or less like a sim city? On average, how long do standard 1v1 games last?

Thanks for replys..

Multiplayer skirmish will be competitive and fast paced, especially if you play Lay Siege or Defense mode.

Since we are bringing MMORTS mode to all the players who like to build and take their time, we are reserving multiplayer skirmish mode for fast pace, in and out action.

that means in MMORTS, we developed our armies and buildings and in Skirmish, we just take out what we have developed as they're already there?

Do we gain exp, resources,... in Skirmish?

ah, and also loose things if we loose the game?

I'm not sure in skirmish if things like that are really important. That may just be a mode to go against the computer. The online portion matters more as far as those things go.

MMORTS mode and Skirmish mode are two seperate entities... MMO you would build up slowly over time and fight it out in MMO but skirmish would be your average multiplayer game... What you build in MMO wouldnt affect a skirmish game unless there is a setting in it which allows us to?

Personaly I think its a stupid idea. They are completely seperate settings/mode. Skirmish would be just like any other game, such as BfME, you start with a "Capital" and you build from scratch, collect resources, and build troops for a 30-90 min games. MMO mode is and should stay completely seperate.
