I read in the unit descriptions that they could swim and I was wondering if when a ship goes down will the units swim away to land automatically or will they just die? Also, do you have to tell them where to swim? Finally, will cavalry, if the units on them die, still be your horses or will the other teams capture them?
Thanks

I think ships need that so there are pros and cons of using ships. may be faster but you will lose your army.

Considering that they're wearing about 50 pounds of armor somehow i doubt that most units could escape from a sinking ship.

It said they could swim though so maybe they go on the unrealistic side for this feature.

yes it would be the most realistic option the heavy troops will just sink like stones
while the light troops will swim to the nearest beach.
