Halo 3 Gears of War is a great game too. HL2 was also quite good (gravity gun ftw)

Other honorable mentions would be Battlefield, Black and White, and KOTOR.

Metal Gear Solid, the first one, though 2 and 3 were also very good, the storyline and presentation in the original was amazing.

I don't know if I can pin-point one game, so a few, final fantasy ix, final fantasy tactics, sim city(any version, wheres my sim city 5!!!??), civilization (didn't care for 3, others were great imo), total war series (indifferent on ETW), anything blizzard is good in my books, though some of their activisionish ways are concerning... probably leaving out something... Super Mario Bros RPG
