(Hypothetical) Kingdom Wars 2.
This is what the hypothetical character creation system in Kingdom Wars 2 would look like.
Race - Human, Elf, Orc, Standard Fantasy Game Short People Alliance (Gnome, Dwarf, Halfling)
Facial Feature - Deep Set Scars, Make-up, Nose Ring, etc
Body Texture - Heavy Armor Muscle Man, Buxom Fantasy Game Lass, Robed Scholar, Mr. Gladiator
Voice - Say one of three
Ruler Trait - Wise, Charismatic, or Powerful?
Ruler Specialized Traits - Your Ruler Trait allows you to select two additional satellite traits . For example a Human Charismatic character might be able to select "Virtuous" while an Elven Charismatic character would have a similar trait called "One with Nature".
Hero Type - Inspirer, Arcanist, Expert, or Fighter. This is what you are on the field.
Location - Same as we have right now.
Traditions - Grants bonuses and penalties to buildings and research. This is what your people believe in.
Culture - Grants bonuses and penalties to units. This is what your people fundamentally are.
Law - Grants bonuses and penalties to income and unit costs. Examples include Aristocracy, Tyrant, Constitutional Monarch. Aristocracy might might higher end units cheaper, but everything else is more expensive. Monarchy is default. Tyrant makes units cheaper but makes trickle dropoff steeper.
You might end up with a Buxom Dwarf Female with Red hair and heavy make up who wanders around the battle field with a shield and axe. She's a Charismatic Ruler with the specialized traits of Princess of the People and Natural Diplomat. She uses character voice two and is named Aby.
She rules over the Kingdom of the Hills (A dwarven land type). Her people adhere to barbarian traditions, and her culture is a nomadic one. Despite being a Princess of the People Aby rules over her dwarven subjects with an iron fist and selects "Tyrant" as her Law.
