It probably was a wipe of Home Cities, because for the last few log ins i've returned to the newly created one, except this time its perpetual Winter, so no farms. its playing well with hardly any glitches - I'm playing human in the Rolling Plains scenario and the only snags are peasants getting hung up in the scaffolding surrounding a gold mine and the odd soldier in timber stake defences. The quests are panning out all right, the best I've found is not to jump the gun but continue at the pace of the advisor. That swapping to army mode on the World map is a bit of a pain and maintaining control of forces and stances needs a bit of work on. I helped the modding team who eventually joined Blue Byte in the Settlers Games 5 +6 so I'm used to this sort of thing. What concerns me at the moment is despite the size of the map the hometown when its built up is going to be very overcrowded and its going to make the passage of ones peasants and soldiers through it something of a trial, especially when under siege.
Reading the News Updates there's another reset on Sunday so all building and progression will be losted again.
