Yup, they were originally designed with sieges in mind, we just had to push back the scripting until post-release.

We're looking at 6-9 new siege mechanisms. Six will make their way into the game shortly (2 per race) and 3 more (1 per race) are outlined but may or may not make it into the game before the gold meter.
