PATCH # 6 - Another Step Forward!

The best indication of how well the patching efforts are going is the amount of customer support requests we get daily. And this weekend has been relatively calm with customer support volumes dropping quite a bit, while we keep on getting the same astonishing number of new players each day.

We hope to get through the rest of the bugs as well as UI updates in the next two weeks and finally start adding some awesome major new features in May. Thanks for your support guys and for helping us get the game into top shape for you.

Patch # 1.5.2

:::::Major Fixes and Additions:::::
-Added loading custom scenarios to Singleplayer menu
-Completely reworked Forest Spirit unit and economy approach.
-Fixed issue with World Map armies often entering view mode in a wrong region
-Fixed common issue with CoOp, PvP not funding friends army, even in the right region
-New Player PvP Protection - timer doesn`t start until player builds palisade walls

:::::Minor Fixes and Additions:::::
-New Player PvP Protection - if canceled, new 1 hour timer will be given on reload
-Fixed several remaining issues with unit production
-Fixed issue with disappearing Forest Spirits
-Fixed location of tool-tip for CoOp play selection screen
-Potential fix for player disconnection issue - forcing a pay out
-Fixed a glitch with missing wooden palisade gate
-Clicking on a Quest location with an army, will also display coop option now

:::::Balance Adjustments:::::
-Greatly increased PvP reward both for loosing and winning the battle
-Increase amount of resources players can send to each other

Will we see new population cap in oncoming patches? I personally feel the current cap is restricting what the game is meant to be and could be, Anybody with me?

Laradon 04-14-2013 10:06 PM

That patch ruined sthg for me. I had 4 pvp fights after and all were buged. First 2 battles the enemy payed me of and i got stuck. I was forced to payout myself. The others battles i won but the game didnt end. The victor bar on the right disappeared but my units continued to slaughter the enemy until none were left and all were dead. had to click the worldmap thing to get out, didnt have to pay though. All those 4 wins werent added in my profile. Also the Attack Protection timer got stuck and its always 1:00:00. Think im forced to build walls for it to run again. Never build walls in most of my cities because i dont need em :/. Being forced to buy em now for crowns is kinda weird too. Well i loged out for now til the pvp thing is fixed. Also started on walls, hope that fixes that too.

Edit: I started humans this week with the 12h timer and it was really great. I wonder why you felt the need to change the attack protection into sthg else again?

Is the patch live on Steam? I don't see anything.
Or should I patch manually?

@Morley - more units would result in lag, so we're unlikely to raise the population cap any time soon.

@Laradon - I'll look into the pvp issues you are having.
I thought the 12hr attack protection timer was great too and it's still there, but the new way it works will give new players more protection and that's what a number of players have been asking for.

New players still start with 12hrs protection. The Attack Protection can be cancelled if you want to PvP, but it will reset to 1hr if you don't have any protection when you log in without walls. And as you noted, it won't start counting down until after you've built walls.

Did this fix the quest "Dangerous Neighbors"?

Guess the flaw with that is, that I can constantly attack other people while being safe forever if i have not built walls? :D Theres players like desert orcs etc who will never build walls. I just build walls for fun, but not because I use em. My playstyle was always fighting, attacking once the Attack protection timer was running out or buying 48h protection on start to create massives armies to pvp with. Now I don't even have to buy protection anymore because I could randomly harass and attack people that can't ever hit back :D I find that rather horrible and build those walls because I feel bad about it.
