Wasn't there suppose to be updates this week?

I know the week didn't end, but just making sure it's this week and not early next week...

This week we are putting final touches on our brand-new DoF website and hard at work finishing up the new stunning offciail video trailer as well as a gameplay movie. You`ll also be treated to all new 14 or 28 new screens.

All of this will be release early/mid of next week. Please stay tuned and we greatly appreciate your continuous interest and support of the project!
So unless they've change their minds, there should be an update in the next few days.

By circumstance beyond our control looks like most likely things are moving forward to next week. We`ll try to get something out this weekend though - we`ll see how it goes.

Blech... More delays... And this time it isn't the game, but the website itself :(

But it will be worth it, just keep telling yourself that. :D

Got nothing better to do maybe?

Deadlines are always overly optimistic, mostly due to Murphy's Law (everything that can go wrong will go wrong). At a certain point, you just become cynical and just presume everything is going to be delayed.

Grizzlez 06-03-2009 10:39 AM

Usually the best deadline is one that does not exist, at least to the public. Deadlines in organisations are useful to ensure continuous production. But when fans know of deadlines they expect to see something, generally in an unpredictable market it is hard to keep these deadlines. If you give an update and then a general deadline such as "soon" then people will not expect something on a specific date. Let's face it, how often do things come early, the more time you have is more time to perfect things so only delays will ever be noticed.

I say give them time. Better done right than rushed and done wrong.
