Patch # 1.1.7 - War and Peace… and Trade!

Quote:

Today`s patch 1.1.7 is all about major gameplay additions. To start things of we are happy to introduce new Online Kingdom NPC town diplomacy model - our biggest addition since the Army vs Town combat. Player can now set diplomatic relations with NPC towns controlling what actions are available - from trade, to waging wars. In addition we have fixed couple of critical bugs our forumers complained about and added new unit action system that shows what current work or units are doing. We will continue with another major feature addition patch later this week.
Patch is Live

Patch # 1.1.7

:::::Major Fixes and Additions:::::
-NPC Town Diplomacy system for Online Kingdom
-NPC markets can`t be used until trade agreement is signed
-Political set-up for the worldmap with relations between realms and regions
-Fixed a major bug that caused armies to loose units after combat
-Units now display their current job on their selection icons - for workers and regular units
-Fixed Out of Sync issue with Dragon Firewall ability.

:::::Minor Fixes and Additions:::::
-Change chat font size to small, normal, large. And fixed visual bug with small and large font
-Advisers who accidentally die will revive on reloading the homeland
-Fixed Town Wall layer not displayed correctly on the worldmap and profile window or login screen.

I will be playing more DOF now- ever since my EYE cybermancy character got the level RESET bug from 33 to 1.....i just have no urge to play it anymore.

---And finally: npcs have a bigger role- so glad. If only they could siege us ;P

Muhahahaha! This should be fun. :D

By the way: are you guys going to fix the problem with playing on small resolutions any time soon? As I've said before, a lot of the buttons on the world map get squished behind each other (so I can't do pvp, for example). I know it's not the most important thing in the world (and I always could play on a different resolution), but I'm just wondering.

edit: ok, I checked out the diplomacy. But shouldn't cities' attitude towards you be affected by more than just gifts? I'm thinking that for a starter, why not have quests affect diplomacy? I'm not talking about new quests; I'm just saying that if you do a bunch of quests for the leader of a city, they would be friendlier towards you in diplomacy. And I don't know, but maybe in the future, your NPC allies might ask you to defend them from an attacking NPC/human player; your NPC ally would of course be happier towards you.

one step at a time ;]. Just like how Apple will soon dominate the world.

@ Dream - it would really help us if you make a new bug report with screenshots (use F1 key to take a picture, it`s saved in your main Dawn of Fantasy folder, edit it with MS Pain and save as a JPG and attach with your post.) And mention what resolution you are using.

And let me share some ideas we might implement for diplomacy:
-Automated Trade Caravans (similar to how it works in Kingdom Wars), these will be controlled from a new building - Merchant`s Guild in each town. This will require an extended trade agreement with towns.
-AI armies will patrol near towns you are at War with. So when navigating the worldmap with your armies you`ll want to be a good distance away from the towns you are at war with (this will only be field combat against AI armies)
-Every time you lay siege to a town or fight their army - diplomacy stance decreases.
-Right after successfully sieging NPC town you have a 2 minute window to offer a peace agreement which they will accept.
-With 3-4 towns for each race you can increase your standing with them through quests.
-Trading with the town increases standing by 1 for each 5,000 in goods exchanged.
-Mercenary unit markets only available if you are allied with the town
-If you are allied with the town you get 15% cost reduction for all services and prices
-If you attack villages/garrisons in View mode or players in PvP of the same region it slowly decreases your standing in this region.

-Political set-up for the worldmap with relations between realms and regions

How dose this works ?

:::::Minor Fixes and Additions:::::

-Fixed Town Wall layer not displayed correctly on the worldmap and profile window or login screen.

Now my town walls are not displayed correctly on the worldmap for Sihot (slot 1)

-Camera max zoom out increased by 15%. We are testing this out - please provide feedback
